Understanding CCU – From Waste to Value What is CCU?Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) is the process of capturing Carbon Dioxide ($CO_2$) directly from industrial flue gases—such as those from distilleries, power plants, and refineries—and converting it into useful products.
CCU vs. CCS: The Profitable Alternative Unlike Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), which involves pumping $CO_2$ underground at a significant cost, CCU focuses on valorization.
